In reading The Rails Way, I noticed a small quote by Mr. Hannson stating that reading the book would allow one to discover the gestalt of ruby on rails.

I could not resist looking up the word, and discovered it to mean a variety of things, and I feel the dictionary post might help.

How to compile with Make in Ubuntu

ubuntu kernel headers or kernel/devel are needed to compile make files. more coming on this.
may possibly be get kernel/source

apt-cache search "package name" will provide list (grep) of package name files.
